    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

This sounds like your browser automatically loads certain pages or plugins when it starts, causing YouTube videos to automatically play. We suggest that you try the following methods to solve the problem:

Clear browser cache and cookies to help eliminate stored data that may cause automatic playback.

In Microsoft Edge, you can go to Settings>Site Permissions, and then select media autoplay. Check if certain websites have been added for automatic playback. If so, please delete them

Sometimes, installed extensions or plugins may cause automatic playback issues. You can try disabling all extensions and plugins, and then re enabling them one by one to check if any of them are causing the problem.

If none of the above methods solve the problem, you can consider resetting the settings of Microsoft Edge. Restoring the browser to its default settings may resolve the issue of automatic playback.

Check for malicious software or advertising software that may automatically start the browser and play videos when the system starts.

Update browser: Ensure that your Microsoft Edge browser is the latest version. Sometimes, updates can fix known issues and vulnerabilities.

Hope this answer can help you well.

    Best regards,

    Jill Zhou

Hell even Microsoft can't fix this even though the issue started after one of their updates.

I spent over an hour with their support and it came down to just having to create a new profile and keeping my original profile. What pain in the butt!!!! Come on Microsoft you can do better than that. All you are doing is forcing people to look at switching to Linux that is showing to be much safer these days.

Having a hard time knowing first hand that Microsoft cannot fix a problem with their OWN software.

If Microsoft would just send out the update prior to their last update last week that should not have the implanted malware in it that could possibly help get rid of this problem!!
