Hello, I'm having trouble signing in to my accounts because they require authentication through an authenticator app. However, the authenticator app also requires sign-in which again requires code from authenticator, creating a loop. Can you please help me resolve this issue?

Estou com o mesmo problema. Estou tentando acessar o teams com a minha conta estudantil, porém ele pede para colocar o número no Microsoft authenticator. Mas se eu abro o microsoft authenticator, ele também pede para colocar o número no Microsoft authenticator. Então, não consigo fazer login.

I am having the same issue. I don't have this issue with any other account that I have 2FA set up on. Only Microsoft. It is ridiculous. I am trying to sign into my Power BI account but it requires a code from Authenticator. Because I got a new iPhone when I open up Authenticator it asks for my password and then next asks me for a code from.... Authenticator!! So I can't sign into Power BI because I have to get a code from Authenticator which I also can't sign into because it requires a code from Authenticator. It then tells me that I need to scan a QR code given to my by my organization's administrator. I am my "organizations" administrator and I have zero clue where to get this QR code. I figured no big issue, I will just reach out to Microsoft Support for help. Only issue is I can't seem to be able to find a way to talk to a real live person. I just get sent from one useless help article to the next. Then I thought whatever I will just create a new account. Only problem is that you can only use Work or School accounts for Power BI but work account I have is the one that I can't get into. It is maddening.

And the cherry on top is that I can actually reset the password for my account but I still can't log into it because I can't set up the damn Authenticator app. IF I ever get this resolved the first thing I am doing is removing all 2FA. It isn't worth this insanity.

I have been stuck in this loop for days. It is maddening. I called like 5 times only be told to create a support ticket...at a website I couldn't enter because I needed get past the authenticator. I have tried every online solution. I have disabled MFA on my domain, on Microsoft, and still stuck in this loop. The number of online forums and complaints about this is insanely large and going back for years. You would think Microsoft would have addressed this problem. After a LONG chat asking for help, I was called back, only to be transferred, then transferred once again. I waited 37 minutes for a human to pick up. That person only got my information to start a case ticket. Total time on phone was 49 minutes. I was given a case number and told someone will be in contact in 24 hours. Oof.
