SSRS 2022 upgrade breaks report

After upgrading my SSRS 2022 instances from 16.0.1113.11 to 16.0.1115.61, my reports that usually displays a few columns coming from a stored procedure does not display the results anymore (only lines with blank data in all differents browser).

-> report does not display the results anymore, only the lines between the records

-> no error in SSRS logs

-> rs_success dans les logs de la bd de SSRS

It looks like a bug with the latest version. What can I do apart from downgrading?

I upgraded my SSRS with the lastest upgrade (16.0.1115.96 released on 2024/05/20) but I still had the same problem.

I finally solved my problem by :

opening my report in VS2022

changing in the Configuration Manager the TargetSQLServer from SQL2008 to SQL2016+

deploying my report to SSRS2022

Now the report displays well the result of the stored procedure.

I upgraded my SSRS with the lastest upgrade (16.0.1115.96 released on 2024/05/20) but I still had the same problem.

I finally solved my problem by :

opening my report in VS2022

changing in the Configuration Manager the TargetSQLServer from SQL2008 to SQL2016+

deploying my report to SSRS2022

Now the report displays well the result of the stored procedure.

Hi @Rives, Vincent,

I test from my side, the report which using stored procedure works fine on the report server.

Have you tried to run a simple report with SP or run the report from other browsers?

If this affects your product environment, downgrade it may be the best choice.

The report does not display the results with different browsers (Firefox, Edge, Chrome)

The report can display the results fine within Visual Studio 2022 from the same SP that is problematic from the updated SSRS instance.

So it is really the newly updated SSRS engine which does not the send data properly.

How do I downgrade SSRS2022?

Can I install the old version on top of the new version? If yes is there a risk that the tables structure in the Reportserver db is too different?

I feel this will be a waste of time to downgrade because if it works in VS2022 and it works with the previous version of SSRS and it does not work with the new version, there is clearly a probleme with the new engine... don't you think?
