App Service plan (Windows) shows consistent 70-80% memory usage at idle

Hello,

I have created an Azure App Service Plan (Standard S1) with Windows OS, I have not yet assigned any components to this ASP and the memory metrics are showing a memory consumption of 70-80%. How is this possible? What is consuming memory if the ASP is empty?

@David Pelaez Beltran That would be unexpected. Can you please follow the below steps and let us know the outcome?

Go to the Azure portal and navigate to your Web App.

Click on the "Diagnose and solve problems" blade from the left-hand menu.

Under the "Performance" section, click on "Memory Usage".

On the Memory Usage page, you will see a graph that shows the memory usage of your Web App over time. You can adjust the time range of the graph by selecting a different time range from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.

Below the graph, you will see a table that shows the memory usage of your Web App broken down by process. This will help you identify which process is consuming the most memory.

You can also click on the "Memory Dump" button to take a memory dump of your Web App. This can be useful for diagnosing memory-related issues.

Otherwise, if you are not committed to your ASP, you can try creating a new ASP. It could be that the creation of the ASP did not go as planned and a supporting process of the ASP is corrupted.

I understand that I could follow the steps you mention if there was a web app associated with the app service plan but there is, it has nothing assigned.

I leave some screenshots so you can understand what I'm talking about, there is CPU and Memory usage that I don't understand:
