Hi I have a small sharepoint site with manuals, instructional videos and SOP's to share with the technical freelancers in the company. Now the problem is that most of the techs do NOT belong to the company and I only want them to be able to view the site and see the documents and not delete or edit anything.

The problem I have is that I create an invitation and people receive them but can not enter the site. What am I doing wrong? another thing freelance technicians do not have Microsoft mail and do NOT belong to the company.

How can I invite them without them being part of my organisation?

Thanks

Any error message when external users open the shared site collection?

    Please check following tips:

1.Enable external sharing both in the site and tenant level.

(1)Go to SharePoint admin center -> Polices -> Sharing -> Allow Anyone or New and existing guests.

(2)Go to SharePoint admin center -> Polices -> Sharing -> Allow Anyone or New and existing guests.

2.Go to the Site settings -> Site collection features -> Deactivate "Limited-access user permission lockdown mode" feature.

3.Go to Microsoft Entra ID at https://entra.microsoft.com/ -> In the left navigation pane, expand External identities -> External collaboration settings -> Make sure that "Anyone in the organization can invite guest users including guests and non-admins" is selected.
