<TargetFramework>net6.0-windows</TargetFramework>No custom or 3rd part controls.
I was able to resolve by adding a reference to System.Windows and PresentationFramework, which generated an error, and then when I removed did a clean rebuild and it worked.

Jonathan Wood 16 Reputation points2024-11-27T19:46:28.29+00:00 I have this same issue with both .NET 8 and .NET 9. Using both versions, I created a new WinForms project, and this is the screen I get. No error description. Just the message that an error occurred.
I thought MS was going to improve WinForms. They take absolutely forever to load. And now this!
