Approving Table access via workflows does not work in Microsoft Purview

Hi,

I saw a couple of demos on YouTube https://youtu.be/bpdb0x43eNQ where it is demonstrated that if the user tries to request access to the Synapse or Azure SQL DB table access and the approver approves the request requester can directly able to access the table. I have followed the same steps but after approving the request I am unable to access the table.

Any clue!!

When you say you are unable to access the table- could you please share more details and any error message which you are experiencing?

I mean that requester unable to access the table with SSMS the way video is shown.

PRADEEPCHEEKATLA-MSFT When the user who was granted the access to the table try to login to the database table with the help of SSMS it does not work. Access is denied.

@Rajaniesh Kaushikk - Any access denied message will be having an error message which explains about the reason for the denial. Could you please share the error message to undertand and provide the solution accordingly?

I am not sure if you are still experiencing this issue. If you are, you may try looking at the document below on how to use Microsoft Purview self-service data access policy to request access to the data assets to ensure that all the steps followed are correct. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/concept-self-service-data-access-policy#how-to-use-microsoft-purview-self-service-data-access-policy.
There are also some notes highlighted in the doc that you may want to look at.
