I did a Bitlocker recovery on my laptop, but before I can get into windows it wants me to reset my PIN. However, it says it needs the internet to do that, and the laptop doesn't seem to be able to access the internet. It is NOT a wifi problem. Other laptops on this wifi can access the internet. How do I get past this Catch 22 problem?

    Hello,

Since your computer is requiring an internet connection to reset the BitLocker PIN and currently has no internet access, there might be an issue with your system’s network drivers or settings.

Here are a few steps you could try:

Wired Internet: You could use an Ethernet cable connection to connect your laptop to the internet. Simply plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the router and the other into your laptop’s Ethernet port.

Networking Drivers Update: It’s possible that your networking drivers need an update or they might have been corrupted. If you’re able to boot into Safe Mode, you can try updating your networking drivers.

Network Reset: If you can switch to safe mode with networking, you can also try a network reset which would reinstall your network adapters and set everything else back to its default settings.

    Best Regards,

    Hania Lian
