This issue may be caused by outdated SSMS files, it is recommended to delete all installed SSMS files on the device and reinstall them.
Follow these steps:
1.Make sure you don't have any previous version of SSMS (check Add/Remove programs; if you do have, uninstall it)
2.Make sure "C:\Program Files (x86) \Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 20"does not exist (if it does, then delete it)
3.Delete the mentioned registry key (which locates in
"HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio")
4.Retry setup
