Does SharePoint 2013 on prem workflows will support in SharePoint 2019 On prem version

Hi ,

I have SharePoint 2013 on prem version application with SharePoint 2013 workflows and Rest API JSOM,CSOM code. Will it work in SharePoint 2019 on prem version if we migrate to SP2019 on prem.

Is there any best practice to follow to migrate SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint 2019

    Firstly, to migrate from SharePoint 2013 to 2019 there is no direct upgrade path from 2013 to 2019. To upgrade to SharePoint Server 2019, you must upgrade SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Server 2016, and then upgrade to SharePoint Server 2019. At this point, you have completed the migration of the databases and site collections.

    To migrate workflow from SharePoint 2013 to 2019, we can open the workflow in SharePoint Designer and save it as a template, then deploy it to SharePoint 2019. Reference: Understanding how to package and deploy workflow in SharePoint.

    By the way, SharePoint 2013 workflow will be fully retired as of April 2, 2026. It is recommended to migrate to Power Automate. Guidance: Migrate from classic workflows to Power Automate flows in SharePoint.
