Unable to install Windows Admin Center on Azure Stack HCI Cluster

Hi,

I've tried installing the Windows Admin Center extension on my HCI cluster but it fails on both nodes with this message "Extension Message: Enabling Windows Admin Center, SearchingForWindowsAdminCenter: Windows Admin Center is not installed, CheckingIfWindowsAdminCenterInstalled: Windows Admin Center is not installed". I've ran the "Invoke-RestMethod -Method GET -Uri https://westeurope.service.waconazure.com" command which returns the expected result.

Can anyone provide any advice?

Thanks

    Hello Jamie Williams

Firstly, apologies for the delay in responding here and any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

I checked with internal team on this, WAC .MSI installer temp file was blocked by the Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC), which caused the WAC installation failure. Team is working on getting this fixed.

Changing the policy to Audit mode will resolve this issue. So you can use this as a temporary workaround till the fix is rolled out.

    Hope this helps.
