Im trying to log in to my university email on my phone and it keeps telling me to accept the code given on the microsoft authenticator app but there is no code there and it is not allowing me to do it any other way and i need to get into this account asap

I am having the same issue. I cannot access anything without the codes which do not appear on the Authenticator app. Anything I try requires me to sign into Microsoft which I can't because I'm not getting the codes. Extremely annoying.
I have since sorted it. You need to contact your schools IT department to reset you Multi Factor Authentification (MFA) method. They will most likely provide you with a link to reset your remote access. It worked for me and now I receive the prompt to enter the codes
