Dear Sirs,

I'm writing to request access to the Azure OpenAI Service to complete the first module of the AI Skills Challenge: "Build Next-Generation Apps with Azure OpenAI."

The challenge requires applying for access using a corporate email and company data. While I understand the need for this for commercial users, I'm currently a university student and not employed by a company.

I've successfully completed other Skills Challenges using my Microsoft Learn profile and personal email, understanding these challenges are generally open to the public.

Given my situation as a student, is there an alternative way for me to access the Azure OpenAI Service for the purposes of this challenge? Completing this training would significantly enhance my skills and improve my employability profile.

    Your Understanding is correct. Azure OpenAI requires registration and is currently only available to approved enterprise customers and partners. You can refer Learn more about limited access to Azure OpenAI Service.

    Currently, you must submit an application to access Azure OpenAI Service. To apply for access, complete this form.

    I understand your concern in completing this challenge. I would suggest you fill the form with your University email id and provide all necessary details. Please keep in mind that, we don't currently provide a timeline for access approval.

    Also, note that your subscription should use be a pay as you go account to ensure Azure OpenAI deployments are successful once your request is approved. See Azure account requirements for more details.

    Once your application is approved, you can create the Azure OpenAI resource. .
