KeyChain Failed Mac for AzureVPN Client

Hi,

I've been trying to set up the Azure VPN client for a customer but I'm being met with the following

Error getKeyChainSecret: Failed to retrieve KeyChain secret. Status code -25300 16/04/2024 09:58:35 Warning removeClientAuthLoginCredentials: Failed to retrive previously saved ClientAuth: aad secret for Vpn connection: Dev, so no cleanup is needed!

I have tried everything that has been recommended & I'm still getting the same error.

I have tried the following;

Manually install Rosetta (This worked & then after disconnecting to reconnect it went back to failing)

Uninstalling the Azure VPN Client App & Reinstalling

Reimporting the configuration

Restarting the Mac

Updating the Mac

Everything still outputs the failure & I'm completely lost for what to try next, any help/guidance would be appreciated on this.

The com.Microsoft.AzureVpnClient also doesn't exisit anywhere that I can see in the keychain either for me to be able to delete this so a fresh one is created.

I understand that you are unable to connect to Azure VPN client on macOS and getting the following error: "Error getKeyChainSecret: Failed to retrieve KeyChain secret. There are some known issues with the macOS P2S VPN Client.

Are you facing disconnects every 2 hours?

If no, then could you please share the complete Azure VPN log file?

Hi Gita,

I've attcahed the log file. There are no disconnects at all as I'm unable to get it to connect.

I've replaced certain elements with XXXX to hide certain aspects.

@GitaraniSharma-MSFT The macOS Sonoma 14 & the azure VPN client is to most recent version available via the app store

@GitaraniSharma-MSFT can you share those details with me? I'm having the same error as Connor and tried everything he did as well, with no luck. Even my setup is the same. My mac is an M3, just in case.

@Rodrigo Lujambio , could you please confirm your macOS version? Is it macOS Sonoma 14? And did installing Rosetta fail to resolve the issue?

Mi macOS version is Sonoma 14.4.1, and I installed Rosetta and the issue persists.

This issue seems to be a bug from macOS side, and the Apple team is already working on this issue along with the Azure VPN client team.

There is a new preview version of Azure VPN client that is available for testing from Apple side.

Client version: 2.3.14 (Private build)

Could you please try to use this version and let me know if it works?

@Rodrigo Lujambio , thank you for the update. Certainly, I'm staying in touch with the backend team to keep track of any updates they might have received from the Apple team regarding this issue. I'll keep you informed if there are any developments.
