Microsoft 365 group not showing up in Outlook with Group Name.

when creating M365 groups, I run into an issue where the group does not show up in Outlook with its name. It instead is only usable when entering full email address...which then resolves to the group object ID. Other groups I have created works fine. Outlook finds it using group name. This happens often. I created 10 new groups, 5 of which is normal and working as expected. The other 5 only show up using full email address and resolves to object ID instead of group name. What is causing this? MS support is stumped too. Still waiting on them to get me an answer.

Based on your description, I tried it in my own Outlook and the group name shows up fine. Would you mind providing us a little more detailed information to fully understand your situation such as the screenshots of where the Microsoft 365 group not showing.

If only single client has the problem, you could try to update cached exchange mode, as you may be unable to see the Microsoft 365 groups if the cache has become outdated or is not updated. Follow this article to turn off and turn on cached mode: Turn off Cached Exchange Mode - Microsoft Support. Once apply the changes, restart Outlook. Verify that the problem has been fixed.

You could also compare the settings of groups that works fine to check where the differences in by using the Get-OrganizationConfig cmdlet to get configuration data. You can refer to link below for more: Get-OrganizationConfig (ExchangePowerShell) | Microsoft Learn.
