i want to Add a work or school user to local machine - works - but generates wrong username based on outdated displayname

I've added a work or school user from AzureAD to my local machine.

In the last time the display name of that user was "Company Wonderful - Office".

I ended up in a user directory locally named "CompanyWonderful-O". Now I only want it to be "Office".

So I changed the display name accordingly in Azure, deleted work or school user account, re-added it, again got the old Name "CompanyWonderful-O".

What can I do the get the proper local folder for the user? Thx a bunch,

Hi @JoeBavaria , the local directory name is based on the username of the user in Azure AD. When you delete and re-add the user, the username remains the same, which is why the local directory name is not changing.

To change the local directory name, you will need to change the username of the user in Azure AD. Have you tried this?

James, thanks for your answer.

I changed the displayname many days ago to "office". This name is also shown on windows welcome screen when I login. But the local User folder is still c:\Users\CompanyWonderful-O

forgot to mention - before I changed the display name to office, the only place providing the information which could be used to create a local user named CompanyWonderful-O was the displayname - so I don't know what else I could change.
