Optional HP Firmware update causing me a big problem

After installing an optional Windows 11 update named "HP Inc. - Firmware - 15.24.00' , I have had problems starting my computer. Before this update I had no problems. This update was made available in January 2024 and it is an update for my BIOS.

When I start my computer it goes to BIOS and it asks for my BIOS password. I forget what my BIOS password is. The only way around this problem that I have is too turn my computer off with the power button and restart. Every time I start my computer it goes back and forth in between working and going straight to Windows, and not working and going to BIOS.

When I get into Windows and check the status of the update, it says it is completed. When I try to uninstall the update, it is not listed under the uninstall updates list.

I am using a dual-boot OS. Windows is not my main OS. When I use Linux, there are no problems starting what-so-ever.

Is there a way to fix my problem?

Thanks.

Clear CMOS/Reset BIOS Settings: Consult your HP motherboard manual or HP support website for specific instructions on how to clear CMOS for your particular model.

Check the HP website for your specific motherboard model and download the latest BIOS update.

Boot into Safe Mode, check if the HP BIOS update shows up in the uninstall list under "Settings" > "Apps" > "Apps & features."

If none of the above solutions work, it's best to contact HP support for further assistance.
