Azure Alert Suppression

Hello,

Please could you tell me if there is a way to suppress alerts in azure, so I only get notified once via email
that the alert has been triggered then again when it has been resolved. As I just receive continuous emails about the same alert.

Do you mind sharing additional details/context pls? Are you talking about metric or log alerts.

Sure, so I'm using log alerts - I know there is a way to suppress the alerts for 7 days for example.
However I'm trying to find out whether its possible to set up a log alert so I only get notified once via email
i.e when the alert is Fired.

Then another email to say the alert has been acknowledged by myself.

Check this out as a possible soution to your scenario. This solution uses Azure Logic Apps integration to customize Log alert management via Action groups.

You may also find this reference on using SMTP to send mail via Logic Apps useful.

Also note, Azure log alerts are designed to be stateless and only fire when the preset conditions are met. this means fired alerts do not resolve but can be manually closed via the Azure management Portal.
