When I install the WSUS in Windows server and configure it. But it shows failure. The server is windows server 2016 standard.

I tried the method you mentioned, but I found it is not working. And I also found, WID service can't start.
It shows Windows can't be able to local computer startup WID. error 17113
Sounds like you have other issues - if you can't uninstall/reinstall WID and get that working, I'd install Windows on a new VM (assuming it's a VM), and destroy this one after migrating over anything that was needed.
