Hi stavros Mitchell,
Thanks for your post. Generally speaking, you can follow the ways to see if it can repair the fire explorer freezing issue. 1. Sometimes, you just need to restart File Explorer to get it back to its normal state. Follow these steps: 1.1 On your keyboard, press Ctrl, Shift and Esc at the same time to open Task Manager. 1.2 Under the Processes tab, select Windows Explorer and click Restart. 2. Run DISM to check for any system errors and corrupted files. Refer to this article: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/... 3. Run the SFC. 3.1 Open Command Prompt. 3.2 Select “Run as Administrator”. 3.3 Type “sfc /scannow” without quotes and hit Enter. Now check for the issue.
- If nothing works, you can perform a clean boot: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-t...
Feel free to get in touch again if you have any additional questions.
Best Regards,
Ian Xue
