    Hi Prashant Rewatkar,

We're thankful for your engagement with the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on your query, it appears that there are no Azure subscriptions in the Microsoft Learn Sandbox directory associated with your account.

Upon activating a sandbox by clicking the "Activate sandbox" button for an exercise, a default subscription named "Concierge subscription" is generated for the Microsoft Learn Sandbox directory.

Please refer to the attached screenshots for visual reference. These depict the presence of the Concierge subscription both upon logging into the Azure portal and after activating a sandbox from an exercise within a module.

In cases where multiple subscriptions are linked to a single email address, various directories may be visible under the directory name. To access the desired directory, you may utilize the "Switch" button to navigate to the Microsoft Learn Sandbox directory and proceed with creating resources as required for your learning path modules.

To view the subscription within the Microsoft Learn Sandbox directory, please follow these steps:

    1. Completely sign out from the previous Azure portal login.
    2. Clear all cache files and then log in again using your Learn ID credentials, preferably in a new browser window or in incognito/private mode.
    3. Activate a new sandbox by clicking the "Activate sandbox" button for an exercise.
    4. After successfully activating the sandbox, log in to the Azure portal to observe the default subscription named "Concierge subscription" under Portal settings | Directories + subscriptions. Alternatively, you may type the command "az account list" in the Azure Cloud Shell of the sandbox activation page.

It's important to note that sandboxes are active for a predetermined duration, typically ranging from 1 to 4 hours as indicated in the exercise. You must complete your exercises within this allocated timeframe.

The default Azure subscription named "Concierge subscription" will remain visible in the Azure portal as long as your sandbox is active. Once the sandbox expires, the Concierge subscription will no longer be visible. To continue, you'll need to activate a new sandbox.

Please be aware that there is a limit of 10 or 20 sandboxes per day, as specified in the exercise instructions.

    Thank you.

    Hi Prashant Rewatkar,

Upon reviewing the error message displayed in the provided screenshot, it appears to be related to a policy assignment within the subscription, restricting the creation of the VM. It seems that the attempt to utilize the Exercise: Create a static HTML web app by using Azure Cloud Shell sandbox for VM creation is resulting in this error.

The error message indicates that the concierge subscription is configured with policies allowing resource creation specifically for web apps, rather than for VM creation.

    VM creation error

It's important to note that the sandbox is designated solely for completing Microsoft Learn specified exercises. Any other usage is prohibited and may lead to permanent loss of access to the sandbox.

There are separate modules available that facilitate the creation of VMs within the sandbox environment.
