When I want to save as a file, the file extension does not display in drop-down menu! for example I mean (*xtds)

I have the same issue when saving, it shows Excel Macro Enabled Workbook not .XLSX, and Excel 97-2003 Workbook not .XLS. How do you get the extensions to show after the word "workbook"?
a) .xtds is not file extension for Excel file
b) The SaveAs dialog comes from Windows and if your Windows Explorer hides the file extensions for known files, you do not see the file extension in this dialog either.
