OpenAI Assistants API Retrieval/File_Search Tool Unavailable

Hello,

I've been working with Azure OpenAI Assistants API and noticed that features like "retrieval" in API v1 or "file_search" in API v2 are not yet available.

"Tools can currently be of types code_interpreter, or function."

Could anyone share insights on the timeline for these features to be included in future updates? Why is taking so long? It has been months since OpenAI launched this tool...

Azure OpenAI is committed to provide regular updates based on compatibility and model readiness. I understand your frustration that these features are not yet available in Azure OpenAI.

Currently there is no exact ETA which can be shared on these feature availability.

Once these updated features are available in Azure OpenAI, What's new in Azure OpenAI Service and Assistants API (Preview) reference pages will be updated accordingly.
