Could anyone point me in the direction where I can look at so it helps me to debug this problem

@Anveshreddy Nimmala that's right! its via Jenkins. I was looking at this https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/java/api/com.azure.resourcemanager.resources.models.statusmessage?view=azure-java-stable but I am not sure what would make this throw an exception while provisioning a VM.

Hello again, I managed to find the problem - it was due to mismatch in image size. I will close this thread as solved. :)
