Bug: mouse pointer in Remote Desktop for Mac is horizontally offset after reconnecting to an external screen

I'm using Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac to connect to Windows servers from my Apple MacBook. I use the "start session in full screen" option and use external screens connected via a USB-C dock. When I disconnect the dock (and thus the external screens and network connection) and later reconnect it, Remote Desktop asks me if I want to reconnect to the Windows servers; when I choose to reconnect, the connections are reestablished but my mouse pointer has a horizontal offset: every mouse click is executed approx. 2 inches left of the position of the mouse pointer. This must be an issue of the Remote Desktop app because it only affects the remote view of the Windows servers but not the Remote Desktop app menu (which appears if I move the mouse to the top of the screen). I can work around this issue by exiting and reentering full screen mode. However, this work-around regularly ends up with the whole Remote Desktop app freezing if you have to apply the work-around to multiple open sessions.

    Hello,

Have you ever attempted to upgrade your system to the latest version?

You can locate the latest KB number for your PC and install it through this link: https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx

If the update does not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Apple support for assistance, as it may be a resolution problem. If they uncover anything noteworthy, they might forward it to the product team.
