How to enable High Availability / Zonal Redundancy on existing ACR Azure Container Registry ?

Hello, I currently have a Basic plan ACR that I plan to upgrade to "Premium" in order to have High Availability.

However, based on the documentations and some testing on a new ACR I created, it appears that there is no way to turn on High Availability for an ACR that's already created - Is my understanding of this correct? I am only able to select "Enable High Availability" when creating a new ACR or creating a new geo-replication instance, but editing it is not possible.

Not sure if there's actually a way to do so, as I don't seem to find anyone having any similar problems nor documentations specifying we can't do it

Yes, your understanding is correct. Currently, it is not possible to enable zone redundancy or high availability for an existing Azure Container Registry (ACR) that was created without it. The option to enable zone redundancy is only available during the creation of a new ACR or when creating a new geo-replication instance. If you want to enable zone redundancy for an existing ACR, you will need to create a new ACR with zone redundancy enabled and then migrate your images to the new registry.
