Microsoft Dynamic Membership Groups Bug with Re-enabling Users

Hello,

We've encountered an issue with re-enabling users in Microsoft 365 (Entra ID). Our setup relies on Microsoft 365 Dynamic Membership groups for granting access to Teams and SharePoint. However, upon re-enabling a user, it incorrectly indicated that they were not part of any Team in Microsoft Teams (it stated that it wanted them to add a code to join a Team).

To address this, I had to manually intervene by navigating through all of the user's Microsoft 365 Groups. Using the condition user.mail -ne "their@email.com", I removed them from their affected groups and then re-added them by modifying the rule syntax. Upon re-adding them, they reappeared in the groups and could now see their Teams in Microsoft Teams.

To prevent such incidents in the future, I believe it's crucial to report this bug to the Microsoft 365 & Teams product owners.

    At the same time, to fix this problem more quickly, you can send a feedback directly to Microsoft Feedback to add it in future updates.

    Many features of our current products are designed and upgraded based on customers’ feedback. With requirements like this increase, the problem may well be released in the future.
