Is there a fix for file not attaching in New Outlook?

In "normal" Outlook, attaching files to new mail can be accomplished using various methods. In the New Outlook, it is picky with the file type you can attach. Is this normal? Is there a fix for this?

Based on my test, i can add the .pdf file and .pptx file successfully in New Outlook for Windows.

And i can insert attachments from local computer except OneDrive, as shown in the below image. Please check if the below options are available in your New Outlook.
