Hi,

I can't activate the disk on file history, it says unable to activate file history..

The service is enabled, I tried with 2 other hdd, but I get the same result. !

I only needed it to save personal files, since I've always used it.

Thank you

    Hi Piero,

Thanks for your post. We have experienced similar cases that are solved by the following steps.

    1.  Press Windows Key+R and navigate to: C:\users%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\
    2.  Rename the FileHistory folder to _FileHistory
    3. Press Windows Key+X and click Computer Management
    4. Services and Applications> Services
    5. Scroll down to Windows Search
    6. Double click on the name
    7. Set Startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start)
    8. Then in Control Panel>File History
    9. It should now say "File History on"
    10. Select you desired drive
    11. Click on Start

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
