Hi,

We have a requirement to add additional description to a specific certificate expiry alert. We are using PKI certificate MP in SCOM 2019, there is one critical certificate upon which their expiry alert gets triggered, need to add one more line in alert description which describes the next action to be taken.

Or is there any option to generate another custom alert when that particular certificate alert get triggered, which describes the next action steps in this custom alert.

Regards

Fadil

    Hi,

To add an additional line to the alert description in SCOM 2019, you can follow these steps:

    1. Open the Operations Console and go to the Authoring section.
    2. Expand Management Pack Objects, and then click Monitors.
    3. Find and select the monitor you want to customize. This could be the monitor for the certificate expiry alert.
    4. In the Monitor Properties window, go to the Alerting tab.
    5. In the Alert Description field, you can add the additional line of text that you want to include. This could be instructions for the next action to be taken when the alert is triggered.
    6. Click OK to save your changes.

Please note that these changes should be done carefully to ensure the correct functioning of your alerts. If you need further assistance, feel free to ask! 😊
