Import or Upload Excel data directly to My Workspace, why do I not see this option?

Question

I am working on this training:

It's pretty clear that what we do in this lesson starts in the Service

When I am in my workspace, I do not see Get Data:

I see (this is https://app.powerbi.com/browse/recent?experience=power-bi):

So I cannot even get to the next screen they show, with Import or Upload.

I do not see this and cannot figure out how to get here:

Is the information outdated? What is this Get Data feature and why don't I see it?

Thank you for reaching out to us on Microsoft Q&A forum.  

One login into the Power BI service. Left side you can find the create option under the create we have multiple data sources like Excel, CSV, if you want to connect any cloud data sources in same page please scroll down.

Once you selected the data source you can start build the report.

Note: Every month Microsoft will update preview features in both Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
