I have a teacher who created a reoccurring meeting on Teams. For some reason every once in awhile, it will make him a member and another student the organizer. We have deleted the meetings and reset it up, and when we click on the meeting information, it lists the Teacher as the organizer. Any suggestions as to how to fix this problem? Students must be in the lobby and they have no permissions on the meetings.

Thakn you!

    @KATHRYN LANZILLO ,

    Does this issue only persist on the specific teacher and student?

    Could this teacher create other type of Teams meetings without problem?

    It recommends you check the settings in Meeting policies in Microsoft Teams admin center: Participants & guests.

    We have recently been seeing exactly the same issue that Kathryn described where a recurring meeting created by a teacher randomly has a student assigned as the Organizer. I have verified that our meeting policy settings match exactly as shown in your screenshot above. This does appear to be happening to other teachers randomly as well.

    When this occurs, it seems to be happening to one of the teachers recurring meetings, not all of them. In a situation that occurred just this morning, the problem resolve itself without anyone having to change anything. As we were exploring what was going on, all of a sudden the teacher was the organizer and the student reverted back to a member/attendee.

    Any ideas what is causing this?
