How to Register Custom Properties and Layout for Your File Type

Hello,

I am trying to register custom properties and Layout for File Type(for example: .txt)
I have followed this link: How to Register Custom Properties for File Type But it doesn't work. What I want to do is to see Author, FileVersion etc. on Details tab at file property.

Note: Creationg an .reg app would be great to complete it.

Edit1: the description provided by Microsoft does not help perfetly. You need to prove much more descriptions and some examples.
