I am trying to get the MARS Agent to connect to azure and backup some files on a Windows Server. I follow the steps and eventually get an internal error shown below. Says contact support but when I try that it says I need to purchase a support subscription for that.

@Martin McNally Thank you for posting your concern on Microsoft Q&A platform. Sorry for the inconvenience this must have caused!

From the details posted, I understand that you are trying to register a server and blocked with an error 130001.

    Few things to note:

    • To prevent errors during vault registration, ensure that the MARS agent version 2.0.9266.0 or above is installed. If not, we recommend you install it from here.

    • If you have a firewall/proxy server, work with your networking team to allow access to the following FQDNs and public IP addresses. Access to all of the URLs and IP addresses listed below uses the HTTPS protocol on port 443.

    URLs *.microsoft.com *.windowsazure.com *.microsoftonline.com *.windows.net *blob.core.windows.net *queue.core.windows.net *blob.storage.azure.net

    • If you don't have a proxy server, ensure the proxy option isn't selected when you register the agent. Check your proxy settings.
    • Ensure your server is running on TLS 1.2.
    • Also, check if there is an Anti-Virus software that could be blocking MARS agent.
    • Try restarting the MARS agent service and then try registering the agent again.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes!
