How can I sign into OneDrive Personal Vault with a Password?

I’ve just set up Personal Vault on OneDrive. Every time I try to unlock it, it only gives me the option of sending an email to verify my identity. When I go into “show more verification methods”, it adds the option to send a text message. Can I sign in with my password instead? I’d rather not flood my messages with codes if I don’t have to.

 

I’ve gone into settings and one of the options to verify who I am is entering a password. But when I try to unlock personal vault, this isn’t shown as an option.

Can I sign in with my password instead?

No.

To use Personal Vault, you need Windows Hello or Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), not just your Microsoft account password to authenticate.
