Uploading cskpg and csfg files causes error - document not defined

I'm trying to split staging and production slots in Cloud Service Classic so I can do the ARM migration for each of them to the extended support version.

Within my test environment I managed to deploy and complete the migration. However, within my client's Azure I am not able to even upload the cspkg and cscfg files when creating the deployment. I tried with the previously successful files and the ones I want for this deployment and they all come with the same error:

"Upload error for [Name].cspkg - Document is not defined"

I don't see any other errors in the activity log, tried googling what this means but I can't see anything relevant. I tried uploading the "new" files in my test environment and they uploaded fine. Why wouldn't they here?

    @Ewa
    I have not seen this issue before. We may need to troubleshoot this with you directly. It might be worth trying both the local and blob location just to see if that makes a difference.
