Hi

Hope I can explain our issue:-)

MS 365 Business Premium + SMTP Microsoft

User have created a Team in Teams and in there created several channels. Then we want to send mails to invite users but MS refuse as the sender adress is not valid as it does not exsist on our domain. And thats correct!

I have tried to find out why - as the guide shows that it is possible to send invitation frem Team/Channel. What are we doing wrong.

Regards Marlies

    Hi Bob,

    I am an independent enthusiast.

    Addressing to your query......

The provided information is not adequate for complete troubleshooting but you can surely give it a try for few things as below:

If error by any means states: "sender address is not valid" then you won't be able to add the member at all by any means.

If the user is genuine and internal then try the below approach:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/share-a-channel-with-people-in-microsoft-teams-5f60de2d-0080-4e55-b26f-33a9dafa120e

If you want to add external users then try the below:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/solutions/collaborate-teams-direct-connect?view=o365-worldwide

I hope and wish the approaches mentioned above will be insightful if they do not resolves your concern directly.
