How can I assign Visitor access for external users to a SharePoint communication site?

The SharePoint site access does not allow me to add a visitor's email address. These external users have NOT been entered as Microsoft Entra guests. This SharePoint communication site will store training videos. So visitors will NOT be allowed to edit files.

I want to avoid the issue described below, when Team Guests have right to edit files. "Teams Guests get added to the SharePoint Members Group, not the Sharepoint Visitors Group".

Based on your description, I understand that you want to guest users can view videos but cannot edit videos in the communication site.

Here are steps to achieve this:

1.Go to the site collection -> Site permissions -> Advanced permissions settings -> Communications Visitors -> New -> Add users -> Enter external user's email.

    1

    2

2.After adding the external user, the external user can access the communication site but cannot edit contents in this site.
