Hi All,

WSL is working fine for me with ubuntu distro.

OS Details:

Edition Windows 11 Pro

Version 23H2

Installed on ‎21-‎09-‎2022

OS build 22631.3447

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22688.1000.0

when I try to update (wsl --update) updation is successful but unable to launch wsl (ubuntu) and below error message is displayed.

The system cannot find the path specified.

Error code: Wsl/CallMsi/ERROR_PATH_NOT_FOUND

if i run below command update will be removed and wsl starts working.

Get-AppxPackage MicrosoftCorporationII.WindowsSubsystemforLinux -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage

    Hi Gnani,

Thank you for posting on the Q&A forum.

Since the issue appeared after updating the WSL, try to reinstall the latest version of WSL manually and see if the issue persists. The WSL installer can be downloaded from here.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
