PDF Files stored on the SharePoint is not opening via browser

Question

Hi,

The PDF file is uploaded on the SharePoint site.

When we are opening the file from browser we are getting below screen

However, when we download the same file then it is opening successfully in the Adobe Acrobat Application.

Can you please confirm that the issue mentioned is related to SharePoint or File specific?

Also, Can you please provide the solution for this issue ?

Possible Solutions:

• Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
• Clear browser cache and cookies.
• Disable SharePoint add-ons temporarily (if applicable).

Further Steps (may require admin privileges):

• Check SharePoint settings for PDF rendering issues.
• Embed the PDF using SharePoint's "File Viewer" web part.
• Use OneDrive integration for a smoother experience.

Additional Steps:

• Verify PDF file size.
• Check for file corruption using Adobe Acrobat.

How's going today? This update fixes an issue in which you cannot open PDF attachments from list items.You have to install KB 5002580 together with kb5002538.
