Is the OpenAI Assistants API HIPAA compliant when used through Azure? It's unclear if it currently is when used directly through OpenAI but my understanding is that all OpenAI services used through Azure are HIPAA compliant.

Is the OpenAI Assistants API HIPAA compliant when used through Azure? It's unclear if it currently is when used directly through OpenAI but my understanding is that all OpenAI services used through Azure are HIPAA compliant.

The compliance offerings are listed in this document for all services.

Azure OpenAI Assistants (Preview) is still in preview. This preview is provided without a service-level agreement, and we don't recommend it for production workloads. Certain features might not be supported or might have constrained capabilities. For more information, see Supplemental Terms of Use for Microsoft Azure Previews.

Since you have already checked the available documentation, I would suggest you, please connect with your account manager to understand more about the requirements and suggestions on the preview features.
