Switching phone numbers

i wanted to switch my microsoft accounts, so i removed my phone number on my PAST account and put it on my NEW account but it always says something with alias?

Hello, could you pls provide some further details about the error...

To manage your account can you sign in to this link on your PAST account to Manage how you sign in to Microsoft https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=529489
In the above link, you will be able to see the attached contacts on your account. After confirming that it is no longer on your old account, you can proceed to add to the new using the same URL.
