I have data configuration data like below.

In the azure inbound policy, i wanted to assign local variables primary and secondary with value from the configuration for the given zone and model. eg, For query parameters zone: RNPCI, Model:GPT-35-TURBO, the local variable primary should be assigned as API26 and local variable secondary should be assigned as API32.

@Muthusamy, Kandasamy Thanks for reaching out. To assign local variables in the Azure APIM inbound policy based on configuration data, you can use the set-variable policy. Here's an example of how you can achieve this:

<inbound> <base /> <set-variable name="primary" value="@(context.Request.Url.Query.GetValueOrDefault("zone") == "RNPCI" && context.Request.Url.Query.GetValueOrDefault("Model") == "GPT-35-TURBO" ? "API26" : null)" /> <set-variable name="secondary" value="@(context.Request.Url.Query.GetValueOrDefault("zone") == "RNPCI" && context.Request.Url.Query.GetValueOrDefault("Model") == "GPT-35-TURBO" ? "API32" : null)" /> </inbound>

In this example, the set-variable policy is used to assign the values of the primary and secondary variables based on the query parameters zone and Model. If the values match the specified conditions, the variables will be assigned the corresponding values from the configuration data. Otherwise, the variables will be assigned null.

Please note that you need to replace the conditions and values in the example with the actual values from your configuration data.

Thank you. Actually I am thinking of keeping the configuration in a json format something like below so that I can add or remove the zone or model later and the policy picks up the primary and backup values based on the query parameter.

Storing the json: This json need not be loaded for every single call, I am thinking for using Cache-store to keep it for some duration and load again if the stored value is empty.

Fetching the values from the stored json and assigning to local variable: I need help in fetching the primary and secondary value based on the query parameters zone and model. This code block I prefer not to make any changes if we add or remove zones or models in the original json section later.
