Odd random connectivity issue with OneDrive

Hello dear experts,

I'm not a native speaker, so if anything is unclear due to my wording, please ask and I will try to elaborate. Sorry for that wall of text, but I try to cover everything.

I'm posting because Microsoft Support on Twitter/X told me to. I do have a business account so in theory I'm supposed to contact the business-support but I'm not an admin. My boss made me an admin once and suddenly my 2FA didn't work anymore so that I couldn't even log into my mails and even the Authenticator-App wanted me to 2FA on my registered device.. what doesn't work because this was on my registered device. When I called the support about that they wanted me to call [company neither I nor my boss ever heard of] to fix my 2FA. My boss just revoked the Admin status and everything went back to normal (and was working again. yay.) My boss (only admin) cannot come to me to look at it, as I'm working from home, so I'm on my own to resolve this.

Onto my problem in detail:

I have connectivity issues with OneDrive that happen randomly. When I turn on my computer my font program Fontbase and Creative Cloud Desktop are the only autostart programms. After they are up I start OneDrive and wait. There are days everything works fine and it just logs in and there are days where it just doesn't. It then says "Anmelden" (Log in) for years and turns back to the login button. Most times i don't get an error message but when it does it says I'm not connected to the internet. Which is not true as I am able to log into OneDrive in my browser, look up my mails or even watch a stream.

Usually I would just begin to restart my computer, unplug my computer, unplug my IP-Phone, unplug my Powerline, unplug my Router, etc to just restart everything. That could take up to 1.5 hours until it's back up working, driving me crazy.

I already reinstalled OneDrive two separate times, as a last resort. That ended up in working both times but it's really time consuming.

Also I tried the reset command in the console, following the guide . When I followed through including step 5 I had OneDrive running two times (both not logging in). But the reset completed when i restarted my computer as well, and was back working again.

What seems to help 100% of the time is changing my LAN port of my powerline. (It has nothing to do with the powerline itself. I have had this problem before I had the powerline. It was one of the reasons i switched to it.) So, now when I run into the connectivity issue i turn off my computer and switch to LAN port 2, next time the issue arises I switch to LAN port 1, next time back to LAN port 2, ... . If i don't turn off my computer this won't work, if that matters. All of this doesn't make any sense to me but it does work so I'm glad I found it.

I use a Windows PC
Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2. Build 19045.4291
Windows Feat Exp Pack 1000.19056.1000.0
OneDrive Version Build 24.076.0414.0005 (64-Bit)

That being said: I would love to not need a workaround for this and to just.. be able to start working, when I turn on my computer. I really hope you can help me to achive this. (Or tell me what the cause might be.) Thank you so much in advance.

Try disabling the Powerline adapter temporarily and connect your PC directly to the router with an ethernet cable. See if OneDrive connects consistently. This will help isolate if the Powerline adapter is causing any interference.

Check the settings of OneDrive. Right-click the OneDrive icon in the system tray and go to Settings > Account. Ensure "Sign me in automatically when I start Windows" is checked.\

Open Command Prompt as Admin and run the following command on the prompt and then hit Enter on the keyboard to activate it:

    sfc /scannow

Open Command Prompt as Admin and run the following command on the prompt and then hit Enter on the keyboard to activate it:

    DISM/Online/Cleanup-Image/RestoreHealth

Make sure that OneDrive is allowed through any firewall or security software settings. You may also consider using alternative cloud storage solutions temporarily until the issue is resolved. Services like Google Drive or Dropbox could be viable alternatives.
