Teams calls going to Voicemail after elevating and deactivating access in PIM

When users elevate or deactivates access their calls go straight to voicemail. The only way to fix the issue is to quit teams and reload.

Does this issue still reproduce after you reload teams?
There could be several possible causes for this issue, such as your phone’s settings, your network coverage, or your Teams account settings. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
- Make sure your Do Not Disturb mode is turned off.
- Check whether the caller's number is blocked on the client side.
- Check if call forwarding is enabled in the settings.
- Cut off whether external devices, such as Bluetooth, are interfering with calls.
- Check if your Teams account’s voicemail settings are configured properly.
- Check if your Teams account’s call answering rules are set correctly.

LP 20 Reputation points2024-05-09T03:50:32.34+00:00 Yes, facing the same issue. Was no idea why Teams' call will go straight to voicemail until I read this thread. Totally no clue the problem would related to PIM, bravo Brain (y) haha.
The problem is really annoying, hope it would be fixed soon -

2024-05-09T13:01:12.4066667+00:00 - @JimmyYang-MSFT - We tried all of those things, and it does not just affect the team's session on the computer it affects all sessions on all device sessions. Try it in your environment PIM up and then have a person call you. It goes to voicemail. This happens when you deactivate too. We do believe after 20 or so min it resolves but through the support logs it make your account in an unavailable status on the back end and sends it straight to voicemail.
