Authenticator App not alerting to notifications

Question

I just spent and hour working with support trying to resolve my Authenticator app notifications; reference number 7040945708.

I recently updated to a new Samsung S24 Ultra and no longer getting notifications for Authenticator. I followed this suggestion under lost phone; https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/common-questions-about-the-microsoft-authenticator-app-12d283d1-bcef-4875-9ae5-ac360e2945dd

You must both delete the app from your old device AND tell Microsoft or your organization to forget and unregister the old device. The reason I contacted support was unregister the old device. I no longer have my old phone.

I have updated permission to allow location all the time, turned off battery optimization. The support guy working the # above suggested using this forum to address my issue.

This is a real pain as I want to go passwordless and liked the push notifications that I can't receive now.
