Why does OneDrive take up full disk activity once in a minute modifying syncenginedatabase.db

Hello

I've noticed today after an update that my OneDrive instance is taking full disk activity once in a minute, causing my computer to run slow. I opened the task monitor to find out which files are being used during that time, it turns out OneDrive is modifying a file called syncencinedatabase.db that is located in my Personal Onedrive settings folder. %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings.

This has never happened before, I wonder if this was a result of the last update or is something undesired, becasue it is really annoying.

Hope somebody shed some light on this behavior.

Many thanks
