Display name in SharePoint 2019

Question

We have SharePoint 2019 !

Currently the display name field for Active Directory is formatted as “LastName, FirstName" and this is what we see in SharePoint lists, permissions and everywhere.

If we want to change it to "FirstName, LastName", will there be any impact on the SharePoint Application, permissions, access, OneDrive ??

Hi @Paul, Alok,

As per my experience, changing the display name format should not have any impact on SharePoint application, permissions, access, or OneDrive. Only one thing to note is that remember to sync User Profiles if you have configured AD synchronization in your environment.
