[Quota Increase] - All of our quota Increase requests are getting rejected

Hi,
We were recently enrolled into Azure's Startup Founders Program, and were looking forward to reduce our AI/Machine Learning research expenditure by utilising the allotted credits. I have been trying since yesterday now to setup even a very basic GPU VM. Whenever, I try to select any GPU while creating a Virtual Machine, it says that we don't have enough quota. I have contacted support 3-4 times, and each time my request keeps getting rejected with an automated "high capacity, can't approve" message.

Now, we are thinking back and wondering whether the credits are even worth it when we can't even use those.

Does anybody know why our Quota increase requests are getting rejected (we have a limit of 0 rn), is it because we are on Sponsorship credits, or is it Azure is just overall unreliable?

Thanks!

    Hello, @Mahyar Ali !

Why am I getting multiple "high capacity, can't approve" messages when applying for a GPU VM SKU quota increase?

Edit: It appears that in this case a quota increase for GPU VM SKUs was not available using the Microsoft's Startup Founders Program credits.

Right now GPU SKUs are incredibly popular and there has been unprecedented demand with the explosion in AI based solutions. That may mean that it's more difficult to get specific GPU SKUs in some regions and existing customers may be prioritized over newly-created subscriptions in certain regions for specific SKUs where there is high demand.

If your quota requests are being rejected, then it means that the SKU you requested is not available for the subscription you made the request on in that region at the current time however I'm happy to do my best to make a recommendation if you are able to provide the Azure regions you are interested in. Broadly speaking within the US I would currently start by looking at the NDv2-series and the NCads H100 v5-series.

After one month of back and forth with their support I got this response:

Thanks for the email response, unfortunately there will be some limitations on sponsorship subscriptions. GPU's VM will not be eligible for the Sponsorship SUB ID.

Our quota increase requests have similarly been denied. It seems that Azure Startup Support's slogan, "Accelerate your startup growth with AI" actually means "with AI that doesn’t require GPUs."

While a "Pay as You Go" account can easily access the desired GPUs in the same region, our sponsorship account is denied access due to a supposed lack of resources. Microsoft should be ashamed for not providing the needed resources to accounts with sponsorship.
