M$ has found a sneaky way to bump up their profit: allow any random user to sign up for a trial which will convert to a paid subscription for your company account. This is a huge security issue, not to mention an admin's nightmware.

How do I prevent users from signing up for free M$ trials?

From the Microsoft 365 admin center, go to "Settings" from the left-hand menu > "Org settings", select "Services" > "User owned apps and services" Clear the check mark from " Let users access the "Office Store" and “Let users start trials on behalf of your organization”
